Test Flight Simulator Building for BAE Systems

CCS was commissioned to design and install a state-of-the-art HVAC system for a new test flight simulator building at BAE Systems, catering to the Royal Air Force (RAF). The project involved the integration of multiple Mitsubishi Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) and split systems, chosen for their energy efficiency and flexibility in climate control.

The HVAC systems were specifically designed to maintain optimal temperature and humidity levels within the simulator environment, ensuring accurate and reliable training conditions for RAF personnel. The installation process was carefully coordinated to minimise disruption and adhere to stringent safety and regulatory standards required in the defence sector.

This advanced HVAC solution not only enhances the performance of the flight simulator but also contributes to the sustainability goals of BAE Systems. By utilising VRF technology, the system provides significant energy savings while delivering precise climate control, setting a benchmark for future projects in the aviation industry.
