CCS was tasked with designing and installing a custom HVAC system for an aircraft hangar in the Middle East, where extreme heat, humidity, and dust posed significant challenges. The objective was to reduce the hangar's temperature and humidity, improving working conditions for Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operations. Given the region’s harsh environment, CCS adapted the system with G4/ISO coarse 65% sand filters and protective louvres.
The solution included two 220kW heat pump package units capable of heating or cooling the space, complemented by a purpose-built ventilation and fabric sock system. Designed for energy efficiency, the system was certified by Eurovent and compliant with European Ecodesign directives. It featured high seasonal efficiency, free cooling, and EC motors for optimal performance.
While shipping delays from Europe presented logistical challenges, the project successfully met all aviation sector regulatory standards, setting the stage for future potential expansions.
